Partnering with UM CREW
UM CREW employs the Community Development Society’s “Principles of Good Practice.” In an effort to maximize these principles, we take a cooperative approach to the work that involves our center. In operating as a cooperative, we seek to work collaboratively with members to meet common economic, social, and community development needs. Importantly, the process is jointly owned by members. Membership is voluntary and open; all members have invested something of their organization or selves in the process and committed to achieve the common goals, and the organization regularly administers training, disseminates information, and provides education around community-based issues.
