Partners and Initiatives
This initiative examines the role of food and food systems in individual and population health. Under our Food Is Medicine (FIM) initiative we focus on both health and food policy, as well as FIM programming in vulnerable communities. Our inaugural FIM project, the Food Rx Program, is a partnership between UM CREW and the James C Kennedy Wellness Center.
Parents for Public Schools is a national non-profit, founded in Jackson, MS with the purpose of supporting families and communities in developing and using the traits of meaningful parent engagement.
The Marks Project facilitates a network of community partners who strive to make Quitman County a place where its children can thrive. Guided by a belief that education empowers, Marks Project is a non-profit organization registered with the state of Mississippi and currently operates under the tax-exemption status of the Community Foundation of Northwest Mississippi.
