Madison Thornton is a rising senior at the University of Mississippi majoring in Public Policy Leadership and Biology from Hattiesburg, Mississippi.  Madison is a member of the Sally McDonnell Barksdale Honors College and the Trent Lott Leadership Institute, and she is an Ole Miss Women’s Council Scholar. Madison is a Taylor Medalist and is on the Chancellor’s Honor Roll.  She is on the Honors Ambassadors Executive Board and serves on the University of Mississippi Columns Society.  Madison also serves the Associated Student Body (ASB) as the Chief of Staff to the President, and she has previously served ASB as the Principal of Health and Wellness and a member of the Philanthropy Board.  She also volunteers as a Project Leader for The Big Event and serves with RebelTHON.  Madison is a member of Alpha Omicron Pi where she served as Vice President of Education and Junior Panhellenic Delegate, and she is currently a member of the Academic Committee.  She is also a member of Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society, Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, Omicron Delta Kappa Honor Society, Order of Omega Honor Society, and Lambda Sigma Honor Society.  Madison aims to attend medical school to become a physician, and she has a specific interest in health policy.  Madison is delighted and honored to be one of the Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR) Needs Assessment Interns this summer for UM: CREW!
